Objective / Problem
Creating branding assets for a Portland-based artisanal brewery involves crafting a distinctive wordmark/logo and beer label to resonate with the target audience. The wordmark/logo must set the brewery apart in a competitive market, embodying its identity, values, and ethos. Meanwhile, the beer label aims to captivate consumers, telling a compelling story and evoking a sensory experience to enhance product appeal.
Concept / Solution
I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to create high-quality graphics for the beer label and wordmark/logo. Illustrator shapes typography and line work, while Photoshop enhances textures and imagery. This integrated approach ensures our branding reflects company identity and resonates with consumers. Through Illustrator, Photoshop, prototypes, and hands-on work, in order to deliver stand out branding materials.
Process /
I started by examining the brewery's brand and audience, drawing inspiration from local culture and competitive analysis. Hand-drawn or digital sketches explore design concepts before refinement in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, ensuring precision and visual appeal. Ready-to-print digital files include instructions for accurate color reproduction. Quality control tests precede packaging and shipping, ensuring visually captivating beer labels that convey brand and product information effectively.
Value-significance /
Designers utilize typography, strategic placement, and legibility to craft beer labels that visually captivate consumers while communicating the brewery's identity, story, and product details. This enhances consumer engagement, brand recognition, and drives sales and loyalty in a competitive market.
